Victory is Violent

Not violent in the way the world defines it.
But violent against fear.
Violent against doubt.
Violent against procrastination.
Violent against excuses.
Violent against comfort.
Violent against the versions of ourselves that want to quit.
People celebrate victory when they see the outcome.
What they don’t see are the battles fought in private.
The hard decisions.
The difficult conversations.
The sacrifices.
The discipline.
The tears.
The prayers.
The faith required to keep moving when nothing around you suggests you should.
Victory demands that something be conquered.
Sometimes that “something” isn’t the obstacle.
It’s you.
It’s the fear that says you’re not ready.
It’s the insecurity that says you’re not enough.
It’s the distraction that keeps pulling you away from purpose.
Every level of victory requires a greater level of surrender, discipline, and faith.
The crown is public.
The battle is personal.
The breakthrough is often born in places no one else can see.
Before you ask God for victory, make sure you’re willing to fight the battle required to receive it.
Victory is not for the wishful.
Victory is for the willing.
The greatest battles are not fought against what stands before you, but against what rises within you.
Now go live a purposeful life.
