A Reflection on Growth, Stewardship, and the Power of the Midyear Reset

Dear Gentle Reader,

For a while, I thought I was navigating a season of uncertainty.

I found myself standing between what was and what was yet to come.

I thought I was experiencing disappointment, rejection, loss, delays, and unanswered questions.

What I realize now is that I wasn’t being denied.

I was being developed.

I wasn’t being overlooked.

I was being stretched.

I wasn’t being forgotten.

I was being prepared.

One of the most powerful lessons I have learned this year is that sometimes the strategy we create for others is the very strategy we need for ourselves.

As I worked through the NOW WHAT? Midyear Strategic Reset Guide, I found myself doing far more than evaluating goals and priorities.

I found myself reflecting on purpose.

I found myself examining stewardship.

I found myself recognizing growth that I had not fully acknowledged.

What I once viewed as uncertainty was actually preparation.

What felt like disruption was development.

What felt like loss was making room.

What felt like stretching was increasing my capacity.

I have come to realize that everything placed in our hands is an assignment.

Our gifts.

Our opportunities.

Our relationships.

Our resources.

Our influence.

None of it is meant to be hidden, neglected, or taken for granted.

It is meant to be cultivated, developed, and stewarded well.

Looking back, every challenge, every closed door, every uncomfortable transition, and every unexpected shift was preparing me for greater responsibility, greater impact, and greater stewardship.

Growth is not always visible while it is happening.

Sometimes we only recognize transformation when we pause long enough to reflect.

Reflection creates clarity.

Clarity creates alignment.

Alignment creates movement.

Today, I am not celebrating arrival.

I am celebrating growth.

I am grateful for every lesson, every opportunity, every relationship, every assignment, and every season that has helped shape who I am becoming.

The work continues.

The vision is expanding.

The impact is growing.

And I am committed to stewarding every opportunity placed before me.

If you find yourself in a season that feels uncertain, do not give up.

You may not be experiencing a setback.

You may be experiencing a stretch.

And sometimes the stretch is evidence that you are being prepared for more.

So, I leave you with this:

  • Are you viewing this season as a setback, or could it be preparation for greater stewardship?

  • The question is not what has been placed in your hands. The question is: What are you doing with what you have been entrusted to manage?

The question isn’t what happened.

The question is:

Now what?

If you are ready to reflect, realign, reset, and move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and intention, download the NOW WHAT?™ Midyear Strategic Reset Guide today.

If you are still here, go and live a purposeful life.
